I like the fact that you can go to a restaurant and you can choose your Lobster. There are different kind of beaches, some like a pool and some with big waves, locals are very nice and kind. It is a laid back culture that allows people to enjoy the sea, the sun with coco loco. It is a unique island, to enjoy life. I am glad r
There are not huge buildings, just typical houses. There is a mosque next to the Catholic Church. Everybody is welcome. San andreasans are gorgeous people. Many architects work in the island. You have to bring materials from Central America to build houses but it is doable. I am glad San Andrés is purely an island with small pleasures. I stayed at a hotel with three meals included and the food was delicious. The coffee, yum. The fruit juices were excellent the rooms were very comfortable and the prices unbeatable. As a young person and teenager I went 23 times every December with my family to enjoy the beauty of San Andres.I love this island.

Agreed, completely. Also having just today returned from there. I get this might have been several years ago now but having just had one week in the island, my experience couldn’t have been any more different. And yeah, the writing style is poor.

San Andres’ beaches were not as nice as beaches in Cartagena, Barranquilla, Santa Marta, Tampa Bay Florida, Acapulco? I get the author did not enjoy it but he does not give someone that has not been there a relatable comparison.

If you like it in there you should drive for Domino’s. That was so hard to read and nothing about your writing is enjoyable.

I love my island and it’s culture. You should really try to be among the people if you want to learn about our culture and customs. No, it isn’t fancy but there is no other place like it. I love walking along the beach or stopping at Ms. Vivid for ice cream on a Sunday afternoon. I love driving around the land and just taking in its absolute beauty and the smell of the salt water and feel the ocean breeze. I love visiting Big Pond and getting fried fish and patacon. It is a beautiful place that makes me long for the simple life…family, nature, togetherness. That is just a small part of the San Andres that you were not open enough to try to see…too bad for you that you missed so much
